EXORDIUM • I

Prologue

Vjolthrim

It began with the Primordials, The Diaspora, and The Elenderen Guild.

The Diaspora was an unyielding and vicious abstraction that undid all things it met.

The Elenderen Guild was made as a last resort to save all members of the guild in case of The Diaspora reaching them.

Each existing race began with a Primordial.

All of them were part of The Elenderen Guild.

Each Primordial fled from their Realm to Vjolthrim because only moments remained before their Realms were undone.

When they arrived at Vjolthrim they wasted no time in rebuilding their kingdoms.

Conflict quickly arose.

Each race wanted something another race had.

Nothing they found or discovered could be divided evenly between them all.

And as they fought amongst themselves even greater conflict made itself known.

The Hereditarians were pre-existing beings that were on Vjolthrim before the Primordials.

The Hereditarians were reluctant but willing to share.

The Primordials did not want to share.

They wanted to Trade.

After much convincing a Primordial got some Hereditarians to travel to their old Realm and never return.

Using the same trick the Primordials convinced the Hereditarians that their Realm was so nice that they didnt even want to come back.

One Hereditarian was not fooled.

He suspected lies from the beginning.

The Hereditarian wanted the Primordials gone.

Wether they return to their realm gladly or in pieces.

This is the story of Nyxaunos Treachery.

Chapter I

Awakening Darkness

Uuldrabeasts are myth like creatures that hold immense power and are capable of ending anything that lives.

A while before the Primordials arrived the Hereditarians just got done permanently banishing Uuldrabeasts.

Treachery was wise but trepidatious.

He knew the Primordials were too powerful to take on alone.

And he knew that the Uuldrabeasts would never work in his favor.

But when looking between being forced into a realm of death and having a chance of survival and a chance of death he saw nothing but opportunity.

Treachery would seek the Uuldrastone.

The Uuldrastone was capable of opening a portal to the realm of Uuldra.

The same realm they came from and the same realm they were banished to.

The most powerful form of Uuldrabeasts were The Dragons.

Treachery's fate was sealed long ago by a Fatestone that made it to where he could not die by the hands of something that could fly.

Treachery considered the Uuldrabeasts and the many kinds such as The Titans, The Elementals, The Levoile, The Harbingers, and the all the rest.

Treachery decided The Dragons would be let back unto Vjolthrim.

He could not die to the flame from which these winged beasts breathe because they are made with wings to fly.

Treachery opened the gate so that a few could come through.

All of the dragons came.

The Primordials had built their Kingdom.

It overlooked the Hereditarian Kingdom as a sort of dominance statement.

The Primordial Castle of Kandor was large but compact there were plenty of secrets buried within it.

The Primordials had many trust issues so almost everything was hidden and almost every hall was a secret.

The Hereditarian city of Kniltown was compact as well but everyone seemed to have a trustworthy foundation beneath them.

One morning the Primordials woke up to fire.

Horrible Raging Flame that just swallowed the kingdom.

The smoke was so thick the sky above was stained grey.

When the Primordials left their kingdom as fled away from it they met what was beyond the smoke.

They met the bringer of heat and destruction.

Wrathwing.

Wrathwing was the first of the Dragons to reach Kandor.

But Wrathwing didn’t stop with the Primordial Castle.

He went one to condemn the city of Kniltown.

Wrathwing was not alone.

Though he destroyed much and ignited and ended all things that met his flame.

He did not do all of the work.

Stormwing, Frostwing, and Deathwing.

All the dragons aided Wrath during his destruction.

Once there was mere ruins that remained the dragons went on to find more parts of the world to conquer.

Survivors of the cataclysm worked together to rebuild it all.

No Hereditarian or Primordial knew why the dragons had come back.

Primordials were blamed for their return.

Hereditarians began following the word of Treachery.

Treachery stated that if all Primordials were slain then all dragons would be forced back into their realm.

One man opposed Treachery.

His name was Lórd Chaos.

Chapter II

Making Manes

Kandor was in ruin.

Kniltown was in rough shape and was being rebuilt.

The constant threat of being killed was apparent.

Whether it be by the opposite kind or by the Dragons that would come and go.

Chaos was a scholar before the Primordials arrived.

He spent his time studying all forms of combat and arcane abilities.

When he decided to hang up the reading glasses he became a battlemage.

His abilities were not unmatched but he was one of the more powerful of the magic users.

Chaos attempted to tame a Dragon.

Felwing was the first and last Dragon Chaos ever encountered.

He thought he could convince Felwing to kill Treachery.

Felwing was cursed and born without scales. Instead his body was covered by dark green fur.

And no matter how much one studies and no matter how much knowledge one gets and retains there will always be a chance of failure.

During the spell casting of Tame Uuldrabeast he spoke the wrong word.

Instead he casted Strip Uuldrabeast of Wings.

Felwing was attentive but the moment he spoke the incorrect words for the magic to take place Felwing's wings were ripped and disintegrated.

It was quite painful and the once dragon was very unhappy.

The now wolf like Uuldrabeast planned to end Chaos right then and there.

But another dragon came distracting Felwing of its original prey.

Oakwing flew down and planned to attack Felwing not recognizing him as the Dragon he once was.

When Felwing was attacked he had an immediate change of heart. All things around him must die.

He leaped from the ground to the sky tackling Oaking from it. They spun in a ball of combat until they crashed into the forest below.

From there Felwing ripped Oakwing to shreds.

Oakwing was no more.

And Felwing had grew a thick fur coat that trailed down his spine stopping about halfway down.

Felwing had became Felmane.

When Felmane looked to see where Chaos had went he could not find him.

Chaos had escaped.

Felmane tracked him down learning that he traveled to the city of Kniltown.

Chaos led Felmane to his people.

On the way to Kniltown Felmane killed a Bear and a Boar.

After doing so each of them became an Uuldrabeast just like Felmane.

Bearmane and Boarmane.

The massive wolves went on to kill more things and multiply more and more.

Opposing not only The Dragons but also The Hereditarians and Primordials.

Primordials vs Hereditarians vs Dragons vs Manes.

War was everywhere.

Up until The Eldra Gods intervened.

Chapter III

Diamond

The Nameless Eldra gods of this time period chose a large handful of players to represent them in a the form of a god.

An Eldra god is a being of the truest form of the power they represent.

Eldra gods are represented by gods.

The Gods greatly intimidated the Dragons, Manes, Primoridals, and Hereditarians.

Gods struck down Dragons with mighty strikes.

The gods wrestled Manes and killed them with their bare hands.

The Gods would also end any Mortal that opposed them.

They were worshipped.

The Gods chose to reside in Kandor.

Aediculus, The God of Architecture rebuilt Kandor.

The Mortals of Kniltown built a pulley system that travelled all the way up the cliff so that they could present offerings without climbing up Kandor and disturbing the gods.

Some players favored one god over the other.

It did not matter so long as every god was worshipped by someone.

So long as the offerings and sacrifices kept the gods happy the gods would keep the mortals safe.

If mortals would perform actions for the gods and serve them the gods would reward them with Divine Artifacts.

The most powerful of gods tasked one player named Avernus of one quest and if he completed it the greatest god would reward him and every mortal ever with the ability to alter their fate.

Avernus would complete this quest and the fate altering god currency Tokens would exist from then on.

Avernus was tasked with making the most powerful material ever.

And as a repsect to the player; the greatest god would make the Token out of the material Avernus presented him with.

Avernus looked deep into the oldest libraries of all.

He discovered that the most powerful materials were all somewhat transparent.

He collected them all. Ruby, Saphire, Emerald, Amythest, Amber, and Jade.

When he fused the most powerful materials together it created Diamond.

Diamond was the most powerful material and gemstone ever known.

Avernus could not even comprehend the true color of Diamond it appeared clear but when focused upon it appeared as though it contained every color of every tint and every glistening light reflected from different corners of the legendary gemstone.

When he presented it to the greatest god the greatest god gave it to Haephestus and he put 1/1,000 of it into a coin.

The coin would be called The Token.

The material when made into the coin shape could be sacrificed and your fate could be altered.

During Avernus's studies he learned that The Diamond material already existed in the hearts of Immortals.

1,100 of an Immortals heart was made of Diamond.

Immortal Hearts are called Atriums.

If something exists for long enough it’s heart will naturally become an Atrium.

Atriums are spherical clear orbs that show the most pure form of life energy within them.

Between Atrium and Heart there is Promethium.

Promethium is impure Diamond waiting to fully evolve into Diamond.

Lesser gods have Promethium Hearts.

Greater Gods have Atriums.

And Mortals have hearts.

The God Phanes forced ten tokens together to make an Atrium.

An Atrium could be used to bring back an immortal.

The greatest god feared that this process was too easy.

He killed Phanes and took the first Atrium.

He had Phanes Forge stolen and his studies hidden.

Phanes Book of Atrium Crafting was ripped page by page each one hidden in a Special Temple.

Tokens could still be made into Atriums but only with the power of Phanes Forge and Phanes Forge was specific owned and protected by the greatest god.

Chapter IV

Godkiller

Rafonias was an Inquisitor.

One that never liked the gods never liked serving something for gifts.

Rafonias lived in the desert of Sonverahm.

He did his research and learned that by killing a god you take it’s place.

He knew he could only kill a god with a god like weapon and the only way to get his hands on one is by serving a god.

Rafonias served Montu for some time.

His final quest was to make the largest statue ever of Montu himself.

After Rafonias did so Montu gave him The Kusanagi.

A Black and Glowing Grey Katana that could be used without touching it through telekinesis.

Rafonias wasted no time and rode the Kusanagi into the heavens and faced Montu.

Montu confused and nervouse tried to talk to Rafonias and intimidate him into going back home.

Rafonias had none of it and slashed Montu apart.

When he did so Rafonias became the Egyptian God of War taking Montu's place.

Rafonias no longer had a heart in his chest he had an Atrium within him.

Rafonias was going to go on to face more gods but stopped as now that he was Immortal there was more room for improvement in his abilities.

Rafonias was the first mortal to kill a god.

He did so with The Kusanagi.

But once the first god died a plague was released.

One that could not be passed on but instead chose individual entities to end.

Chapter V

Retournm

The plague wiped out half of the population.

Years passed and the plague was no more.

But one knight still bore it.

Retournm was his name.

Retournm not only still had the deathly disease.

But could spread it to others by contact of his sword.

The Beldom.

The Beldom was a two handed straightsword that Retournm held in only one hand.

Anything he struck with the Beldom would have the cursed plague and cease to exist quickly after contact with the sword.

Retournm was the most feared Mortal.

Retournm sought out the darkest entities and he found them.

Angels and Demons were the most magnificent things he had ever discovered.

Angels were vitruous entities that serve only the concept of good.

Demons were vicious entities that serv only the concept of evil.

Angels and Demons had been locked away long ago by the god of Imprisonment, Havoc.

When Retournm finally found where they were locked away deep underground.

But using The Beldom he could strike the cage they were kept within and the cage would cease to exist.

He did so.

Demons and Angels flooded out from the cage to join the heavens and hells from which they originated from.

What was left behind was only a tunnel that went deeper into the center of Vjolthrim.

Curiously he traveled further.

The back of the cage would be met but not the end of the tunnel he struck anything in the way of him and his interest in the center of Vjolthrim.

When he finally reached what felt like the end it was just a massive Chasm.

A massive spherical cave that the tiny tunnel he was in connected to.

He wanted to travel into the chasm but he would not find a way out if he did.

He had served his place in Vjolthrim he felt.

Angels and Demons existed again because of him.

And he was the last bearer of the plague.

He felt his time and place was approaching.

He ventured into the chasm with no ability to return to the surface.

When he reached the bottom of the Chasm he met with an ancient egg the size of a watchtower.

He felt a little incomplete and unsatisfied.

He figured it would be something more interesting.

Looking at his sword and back at the egg.

If there were some massive monster that would be born from the egg then he has a chance to end it.

He looked at his sword a bit longer.

Observing his own dark reflection in it.

He stabbed his sword into the egg.

When he did so the egg was unaffected.

Instead the egg rumbled a bit.

It rocked back and fourth Retournm was a little worried he didnt know which direction to run if the massive egg were to hatch and the shell fragments were to fall.

The egg became to crumble.

Breaking apart.

Egg shells came crashing down like debris from a crumbling castle.

Retournm managed to dodge all of the falling pieces.

When he looked back at where the egg was he saw a massive baby dragon the size of an adult dragon.

The dragon bore a large bottom jaw and its eyes were glowing a color that he could not comprehend.

He tried to pull his sword from the egg shell but it was stuck.

Not only stuck but cursed to only be pulled by a Mortal of Salience.

Retournm feared for his life.

The dragon tilted it’s head towards Retournm.

Retournm did not have long until his final breath.

His last words were Forgive Me.

Chapter VI

Vjolthrim I

Kandor was the abandoned fortress of the gods.

The gods built their own heavens far above the land of mortals.

Kingdoms like Olympus and Valhalla were made for the gods protection from godkillers and other gods.

The Laylands are the forests and fields surrounding Kniltown.

Havinfel was the village of mortals.

Primordials vanished and haven’t been seen in some time.

Hereditarians too no longer are present.

The war was still being fought somewhere surely but not for the common to witness or scribe.

All that was left in the kingdoms were the Mortals.

No Gods, no Dragons, no Primordials, no Manes, no Hereditarians.

Just Mortals.

Kniltown and Havinfel were places of sanctuary.

The history of the two locations kept the Uuldrabeasts away from it.

The Laylands were lucious and full of predator, prey, and fauna alike.

Weldremn were woodland mountains that surrounded the outer parts of the Laylands.

Within Weldremn would be the most amazing factors of nature, rock formations, and beasts.

Beyond Havinfel was the sands of Solatenam.

An arid and wasteland like area but pieces of oasis existed within it.

As well as cities and ruins, temples and pyramids, and skeletal remains of large beasts before us.

Narochahmn is the strange ruins that seem have no place between Hereditarians, Primordials, Gods, and Mortals.

If there were a time before both Hereditarians and Primordials the time would be within Narochahmn.

Specifically Kniltown is in the center of Hiemnroth.

Kandor is the highest point of the mountains west of Kniltown.

Southwest and west of Kniltown is the mountains of Weldremn.

Laylands is north and northeast of Kniltown and far beyond the north Laylands is more mountains that are less naturalistic and more cold.

Those are the mountains of Neldremn.

South of Kniltown is Narochahmn.

East of Kniltown is Havinfel.

Further east, northeast, and southeast of Havinfel is Solatenam.

Beyond the locations above is clouds and mountains of unknown territory.

No mortal has journeyed beyond the misty mountains and returned.

Only The Dragons and Manes travel beyond the misty mountains.

Vjolthrim is a large world.

With a very deep outer surface.

Above Vjolthrims overworld is the Heavens, Olympus, and Valhalla.

Below Vjolthrim is the Hells, The Underworld, and Tartarus.

The Beginning of an End

THE FIRST BOOK OF FATE
